I love getting mail, there are always details on the paper that tell a story. I've got a mail pal for about a year now and this is my sign I shall write to him now!
I have a PO Box where I go to collect my mail, and I love the fact that I get to contemplate what might be there waiting for me (except when its a bill or that one time it was a fine!). I also love saying hi to the ladies at the post shop and the little rituals I have created around it, such as getting a coffee from the cafe next door and talking with barista about their current reads. I love that it is one of the very few times I use my works "flexible working" function to leave during works hours for a personal errand.
Receiving anything in the mail that isn’t a bill makes me feel thought of. It makes me feel like I matter to someone in that moment in time. It also gives that happy endorphin rush that is just, so special.
I love that receiving mail means someone thought about me and now I have a physical reminder of that I can put on the wall or carry with me. I have many friends that live far away, and snail mail is one of those things that has always been a way to stay connected in a way that feels authentic.
It makes me excited, especially if it is a letter from one of my long distance friends or an achievement letter. I love getting presents in the mail or by mailman as well. It just brightens up my day.

They are incredibly creative, and I always love seeing what designs they come up with. It's also a reminder that in this digital time and age, someone thought that you are worth the time and effort to make something just for you. I just love mail <3
