This is such a helpful thing to think about for me as a yet to be published writer. To appreciate the freedom and the time to just enjoy the process. So glad this in-between waiting stage has held its own joys for you!
I'm usually not one to comment on a newsletter, but I feel like today I need to. Today is the funeral of my grandma so today is tough for me. Your newsletter was like the sunshine I needed to start the day (it's early morning rn where I live), it made me really happy. So thank you, Amie, your Newsletter always makes my day! I hope you a wonderful day :)
Oh Nathalie, that's a tough day indeed, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm so glad to have added some sunshine to it -- if this was your moment on the inner-tube today, I'm honoured.
Your words about enjoying the now and not worrying about what is coming really resonated. I hope the universe is kind to you and that everything falls into place in a way you can work with in the coming weeks.
I feel like this is very much the season of “waiting to see where things land” but I love the stillness in waiting for an answer. Hoping the universe gives you the answers you wish 🩵
Hi, Amy. What are your favourite beaches, rivers, and lakes in VIC? (For dipping your feet in, rather than boating or tubing. Close to public transport, if possible.) Thanks if you can advise!
What a fun question! My favourite lake (not at all public transport accessible, I don't think) is Sanatorium Lake, and my fave beaches that are close to PT are St Kilda and Rye.
I'm such a task-oriented person that I always feel like I'm looking ahead rather than thriving in what's around me. I think reading helps me with that, though, even though it puts me in the now of a different world. But it helps me further appreciate the things around me and see the magic in nature every day.
I'm definitely future oriented! Always daydreaming, always looking ahead. Focusing on being in the present has been really interesting this month, and really rewarding. You're definitely right about reading -- you can't be anywhere except right in the book.

Love your writing. You are inspiring.
What a great thing to tell us right now ... slow down and appreciate what we have around us while waiting. It's soooo hard for me.. Thank you!
I do have a question... will you be having autographed orders for your new book? And will you ship to the U.S.? Thank you! <3
Yes, and yes -- keep an eye on the newsletter, and I'll outline all the ways to get your hands on a signed copy closer to launch day!

Thank you, it definitely was that moment for me! I can't wait to read your next newsletter in March :)

Thanks for the recs! Will try out St Kilda as my next trip :-)
